The Faculty of Physics has been located on the North Campus since 2005. In addition to many other laboratories, it also houses the laboratories of AG Mathias and AG Ropers, which we will visit on Wednesday afternoon as part of the laboratory tours.
In addition to the high-end laboratories, the building also houses the beginnings of physics in Göttingen. Part of the tour of the North Campus is also the Physicalisches Cabinet, where, among other exhibits, the collection of Georg Christoph Lichtenberg and the Gauss-Weber telegraph can be seen.
