The organizers of the Göttinger Kognitionstage are committed to creating an inclusive, respectful, and productive environment for all participants. This Code of Conduct applies to all participants, speakers, and anyone associated with the event.
Behavior Guidelines:
Respect and Inclusion

- All participants shall treat each other with respect and dignity, regardless of gender, origin, sexual orientation, disability, age, ethnicity, or religious beliefs.
- Discrimination, harassment, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated.
Professional Conduct

- All participants are expected to behave professionally.
- Participants are encouraged to present their ideas and research without fear of personal attacks.
- Diverging opinions and perspectives should and are welcome to be expressed and discussed openly and respectfully. Controversial discussions are explicitly encouraged as long as they take place in a respectful manner.
Harassment and Discrimination

- Any form of harassment, sexual misconduct, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, verbal, non-verbal, or physical harassment, as well as inappropriate language or comments.
Safe Space

- The conference is a safe space for all participants. Any form of violence, threat, or aggressive behavior will not be accepted. If anyone feels uncomfortable or threatened, we encourage them to report this immediately to the conference team.
Responsibility for the Community

- All participants are responsible for promoting the values of the conference and maintaining an atmosphere of respectful exchange. Constructive criticism is welcome but should be expressed in a positive and respectful manner.
Respect for Privacy

- Participants shall respect the privacy of others, especially when it comes to personal data or information shared during the event.
Consequences of Violations:

- In case of violations of this Code of Conduct, the organizers may take measures, including removal from the event.
- We encourage all participants to report any violations of this Code of Conduct. This can be done directly to the conference team or via email to cognition-forum@uni-goettingen.de
