Preliminaries
- Lectures are expected to be 25-30 minutes in length to allow sufficient time for discussion and fellow involvement (20-25 min.).
- Discussion openings (2-3min.) are meant to focus on one or two points to illustrate lifespan or life-course implications. Discussants will then moderate the discussion, giving fellows the opportunity to ask questions or comment first.
- Dissertation research talks should be 20 minutes long, with further 20 minutes for discussion.
- Moderators of dissertation research talks are responsible for organizing and leading the consultation input and for summarizing the main points of the suggestions advanced.
- Fellows presenting their research are advised to ask a co-fellow to take notes during the discussion.
- In the poster session fellows will first give a 2-minute PPT presentation; questions will be possible after all tasks are completed. This is followed by the more traditional poster presentation format, with all presenters ready for discussion at their posters.
- Presenters and discussants: Please keep to the allocated time to allow general discussion!
