Abstract:
The eLabFTW@FDM-NDS project enables enhanced and cooperative research data management (RDM) practices at universities in Lower Saxony as part of the state initiative for research data management (FDM-NDS). By implementing eLabFTW as a user-friendly, generic electronic lab notebook in the Academic Cloud, the project modernizes RDM, allowing researchers to efficiently document, manage, and share scientific data.
The initiative offers extensive training and support to help researchers effectively adopt the eLabFTW system. Training material will be provided as Open Educational Resources (OER), ensuring their accessibility and adaptability for researchers. By offering these materials, we aim to empower researchers in their data management practices and facilitate smoother transitions toward more effective RDM.
Overall, the eLabFTW@FDM-NDS project is dedicated to improving RDM quality in Lower Saxony, laying a solid foundation for research collaboration and enhancing the reproducibility of scientific work in the region. We invite participants to discuss: What would be a successful outcome for you by the project's end in mid-2027?
