We are happy to invite you to the 6th Career Perspectives’ Panel Discussion, taking place at the auditorium of the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing on Friday April 24^th , 2026 from 1:00  - 4:30 pm.

The Career Perspectives’ Panel Discussion will consist of a brief introduction (2 minutes) of each invited panel member. This is followed by a discussion of the different career paths of the panel members with the audience (doctoral and postdoctoral researchers of the MPI and neighboring institutes). In order to present a broad variety of possible career trajectories, we have invited a Journal Editor, Consultant, Science Communication, Group Leader, Research Manager, R&D Scientist, Patent Lawyer, Lecturer, Data Scientist. 

After the panel discussion, there will be the opportunity for informal meetings with the speakers, taking place from 2:45- 4:15 pm. We are planning to discuss a broad range of topics, including daily activities, required skills, work-life balance, and recruitment procedures. If you have a specific topic that you would like to be discussed, please let us know.
