Description

This week, I will speak in the Oberseminar about some basics of topological insulators, namely, how to go from a Hamiltonian with some properties and some symmetries to a K-theory class and how anti-unitary and other symmetries are encoded in the setup. I will probably focus on the “real” case and leave the “chiral” case to next week’s talk by Saba and the “quaternionic” case to Jeongmin’s Bachelor’s thesis. I will give the talk in the Sitzungszimmer as usual, but also run the zoom call.
