Description

Science communication aims at improving public understanding and trust in research and its results and applications. Conceptionally and in practical terms, science communication has evolved from outreach and teaching to public engagement and co-creation activities in various socio-political contexts. Moreover, aspects of Citizen Science and Open Science increasingly also play a role.

In this meet-up we would like to explore the following questions:

  • How can Open Science enable science communication? (e.g. building on and referencing to Open Access publications and preprints)
  • How in turn, can Open Science benefit from more science communication?
  • What activities work best and what could we step up at Göttingen Campus?

We hope this sparks your interest in this exciting topic! Please get in touch if you would like to contribute a presentation or have any other suggestion.
