Lena Foljanty is Professor for Globalisation and Legal Pluralism at the Institute for Legal and Constitutional History at the University of Vienna. From 2017 to 2022 she headed the Max Planck Research Group „Translations and Transitions. Legal Practice in 19th Century Japan, China, and the Ottoman Empire“ at the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory.
The MPI-TAU Transnational Legal History Workshop is hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory, the David Berg Foundation Institute of Law and History at Tel Aviv University, and the Faculty of Law at Goethe University Frankfurt.
