The S^3 Storage Summer School is the preparation for the Scalable Storage Competition (SSC https://gwdg.de/en/hpc/services/hpcftp/ssc/). The topics to be covered are, parallel file systems and file system usage, also with vendors of file systems teaching their architecture. Additionally, we will cover Benchmarking and performance assessment for the benchmarks used in the tasks of the competition. This summer school is the preparation for the participants to get to know all the required benchmarks on a working system. Special contributions are provided by for example NVIDIA about DALI, VAST about the VAST system, Huawei about Oceanstor, and a session about Quantum Espresso.

Participants of the SSC are required to participate. Please submit an abstract on what you would like to learn in this Summer School.

This year, we will offer a special 15-minute slot for every student to present their own work. If you wish to do so, please submit an abstract. The format for the presentation is 12+3 minutes of presentation and questions.
