This tutorial introduces the basics of Quarto for writing scholarly articles and books. Quarto combines computational notebooks with flexible options for producing production-quality output in a variety of formats, including LaTeX or MS Word formats required by journals. The tutorial will cover the basics of a Quarto notebook, the use of citations and a bibliography in different styles, the re-use of document templates and options for publishing documents rendered by Quarto.
