Description

We investigate the non-equilibrium properties of the anisotropic Heisenberg spin glass model that evolves under unitary dynamics. As the interaction between the spins increases, the model undergoes a transition from an ergodic to a non-ergodic regime. We examine this transition by calculating measures indicating a violation of random-matrix-like behavior and the eigenstate thermalization hypothesis (ETH). Since our model is inspired by classical spin glass models, we also incorporate indicators of a spin glass transition into our study. Overall, we perform an ergodicity-breaking analysis using a combined approach with methods from random matrix theory, the ETH, and spin glass physics.
