Quick Guide for Guests: Dining at Göttingen University Central Campus

1. How to Choose a Menu
- Zentralmensa:
- Main dishes: several daily options (meat, vegetarian, vegan), soups.
- Customise your meal: Choose any main dish and freely combine sides (e.g., swap potatoes for rice).
- Salad buffet: Available and paid by weight (scales at the checkout).
- Desserts can be added on.
- Every meal comes with a free drink of water, which is available from the water dispensers.
- Menus are displayed in the lobby, behind the counters and online via the Student Services website.
- Cafés: Sandwiches, pastries, snacks, hot and cold drinks (no full meals).
2. How to Use the Cafeterias/Dining Hall
- Zentralmensa:
- Grab a tray and cutlery (return it after eating).
- Pick your main dish and choose sides (no fixed combos).
- For the salad buffet: Take the dedicated plate, fill it, and pay by weight at the checkout.
- Pay at the checkout.
- Cafés:
- Pick up your snack or drink before paying at the checkout. Hot snacks (Café Central only) need to be ordered from the staff at the counter.
3. Payment for Guests
- Card Payments only: EC cards (Debit), credit cards (Visa/Mastercard), Apple Pay, and Google Pay are all accepted.
