 us Merz (GWDG)\n\nThe S^3 Storage Summer School is the preparation for the
  Scalable Storage Competition (SSC https://gwdg.de/en/hpc/services/hpcftp/
 ssc/). The topics to be covered are\, parallel file systems and file syste
 m usage\, also with vendors of file systems teaching their architecture. A
 dditionally\, we will cover Benchmarking and performance assessment for th
 e benchmarks used in the tasks of the competition. This summer school is t
 he preparation for the participants to get to know all the required benchm
 arks on a working system. The tasks are outlined in the guidelines of the 
 competition: https://gwdg.de/en/hpc/services/hpcftp/ssc/ssc_tasks/.Specia
 l contributions are provided by for example NVIDIA about DALI\, VAST about
  the VAST system\, Huawei about Oceanstor\, and a session about Quantum Es
 presso.\nParticipants of the SSC are required to participate. Please submi
 t an abstract on what you would like to learn in this Summer School.\nThis
  year\, we will offer a special 15-minute slot for every student to presen
 t their own work. If you wish to do so\, please submit an abstract. The fo
 rmat for the presentation is 12+3 minutes of presentation and questions.\n
