DESCRIPTION:\nToo many and disconnected tools?\nOver the last years\, we h
ave seen growing diversity across the RDM (research data management) lands
cape with new tools\, new actors and standardization efforts emerging. Yet
\, integrating different tools remains a challenge. The event will primari
ly bring together users of RDM software\, data stewards and developers fro
m different open source RDM communities.Let's explore together how the FAI
R Principles work in action! \nThis event is a free satellite event of F
DM@Campus 2025.\nThe presentation materials are available in this Zenodo C
ommunity.\nKey topics\nKey topics that will be covered during the event:\n
\nPractical insights into various open source RDM tools (ELNs\, generic RD
M software\, repositories...)\nStrategies for using different RDM tools ef
fectively in combination\nSteps RDM developers are taking to integrate the
ir solutions with other existing ones\nOpportunities for open exchange and
collaboration among users and developers of different open source RDM com
munities\n\nInvited Speaker\n\nRory Macneil (RSpace): Building Vertical In
teroperability: RSpace as a Bridge Between Research Tools and Infrastructu
re\nRostyslav Kuzyakiv (ETHZ): FAIR Research Data Management with ELN-LIMS
openBIS \nDavid Walter and Laura Bahamón Jiménez (Max Planck Digital L
ibrary): MAUS in progess - Machine Automated Support for Software Manageme
nt Plans\nNicolas Carpi (eLabFTW): Using the open source ELN eLabFTW as pa
rt of an RDM workflow\n\n Formats\n\nDemo sessions (e.g. to present a too
l or specific functions\,  45 min)\nTalks (e.g. on use cases and best pra
ctices\, 15 min)\nBreakout sessions (interactive format regarding key topi
cs)\n\nHow to contribute?\nWe invite you to submit an abstract (max. 500 w
ords) by 29.08.2025. All information on contributions can be found here.\n
